Kobe 9 ACTUAL Weight/Kobe 8 Comparison

Congratulations Kobe 8 fans, the extremely popular silhouette is still the line's (and Nike Basketball's) lightest on court shoe of all time. But, we all know weight isn't everything although it does help tremendously especially during long physical games. In same sizes, the Kobe 8 clocked in at a feather-light 9.7 ounces and the Kobe 9 weighed in at a hefty 14.2 ounces. That's exactly four and a half ounces heavier. This is definitely a factor even though most people stated that these feel extremely light on feet. Early reviews have been great so far for the new model saying traction and cushioning improved including the fit (and that's saying something). Now that you know that the Flyknit Kobe 9 Elite isn't that light after all, would it affect your decision in copping?
