KD VI 6 RELEASE INFO + *On Feet* PICS + Low Cut Comparison
The Nike Kevin Durant line has been one of the most successful products in recent memory. Starting with a solid KD2 line, Leo Chang followed up with the successful KD3 that started the heightened technology for Kevin and that "Kobe collar" that he's been asking for a while. After that, nothing could have prepared us with the immense popularity of the KD4 which solidified Durant's sneaker line as a seasonal staple. Now, Nike is taking a dip in terms of ankle height from the KD5 to the KD6. In fact, the KD6 is so low it's a couple millimeters lower than the Kobe series (check the comparison picture below). Not only that, the new silhouette is seemingly soccer influenced with tons of innovative overhauls. The lacing system features an angled slit and an eyelet flap for increased lockdown and ergonomics. Dynamic Flywire is found throughout the upper running along the laces with a new linked eyelet setup. You can only imagine the one to one fit this shoe could potentially provide. They're still using the same cushioning setup seen in the KD5, Zoom Air in the forefoot and an Air Max bag to protect the heel. Hyperfuse is still used as the upper material with a new logo on the tongue and the Swoosh placed on the toe ala Hyperdunk 2012. Check out the detailed pictures below as well as an on feet look!
Release date is set on the first week of July with a retail price higher than the previous model and two launch colorways to set the tone. What are your thoughts on this release? Let us know on the comments section below or on our buzzing Facebook page!
