Nike Kobe VIII System First Look
Check out the first photo to leak of the highly-anticipated Nike Kobe 8 System.
More after the cut

The picture is released by Counterkicks so we're assured that these are legitimate. The Kobe VIII as you've noticed sports the same tactile sleeve the Kobe VII System came with. It will feature the staple hell counter but it looks to be more rigid in construction than that of the Kobe VI and Kobe VII. The major step forward in the Kobe 8 is the lack of Flywire. We know that Kobe's shoes were in the forefront of the Flywire push as well as other Nike Basketball innovations; so when you see something new in Kobes, you know it's gonna be big.
They have used engineered mesh for the upper coupled with Hyperfuse. This is totally new in basketball sneakers and expect other models from Nike to follow the Kobe VIII's lead. Technology used in the Kobe line is usually a preview of the upcoming year for Nike technologies. So when you see something in Kobes now, you bet you'll see them a year from now. A major revision on the picture above that we'll see on the final product is the Swoosh placement. Right now it has that Hyperdunk 2012/soccer cleat feel but this will change come December. How do you like them so far?
