Nike is taking the Nike+ system to new heights (and pricing) this summer with the release of the smarter Lunar Hyperdunk 2012. It will be able to measure everything even your vertical leap. You will be able to compete with players worldwide using the stats and achievements you unlock using your shoe. This way, you're not just playing a video game with your friends, YOU ARE THE GAME. Of course it comes at a hefty pricepoint but these days, it doesn't really matter since people drop serious money on shoes. Nike's just going all out and pushing the customers with technology as an excuse to drive up the price. At least they're giving us the option to buy the non tech'd up shoe for only $140.
