Nike's athlete Tommaso Rivellini is a mechanical engineer and he has certain needs. He needs premium support as he goes around Pasadena's Mars Yard which is as rugged as you can imagine. As a tribute to him inventing the 1997 and 2004 Mars Rover airbags, the shoe features vectran fabric used in the actual Mars Excursion Rovers. The outsole used is from the Nike Special Forces Boot so  that these great minds can stay cushioned and stable on any surface. You know, so that they can be able to think about more important stuff and not worry about their feet. These shoes for geniuses that love action can be yours for $385 at Tom Sachs. It's good to see Nike creating premium footwear not only for stars of the sporting world(jocks) but for rocket scientists(nerds) as well.
